Samye Monastery is the first Buddhist Monastery in Tibet.

Samye Monastery is located in Tsedang. The monastery was built in the seventh century by Guru Rinpoche ( Padmasambhava ).

Mindroling Monastery

Mindroling is one of the greatest monasteries of Nyingmapa sect which is located at southern part of Tibet.

It was originally built in 10th century by one of the ten Great Masters of U-tsang  area, Lume Tsultrim Sherab, later in 1670 the monastery was enlarged by Master Urgyen Tetha Lingpa Renzin Gyume Dorje.

Mindroling Monastery used to be the center for studying knowledge on Tibetan Buddhism, and at the same time it fostered talents on Tibetan Astrology and Medicine. Many famous scholars have emerged from the monastery. Thus it was praised as comprehensive college of Tibetan Buddhism.

Ling Po Monastery

Ling Po Monastery is located in Gyantse, Road Name : 307, Km 181

Ling Po Monastery is a Sanga Ngagyur Nyingma Monastery. The Monastery was built in the late tenth century.

The Founder of Ling Po Monastery was Penchen Miti Gyana, the Buddhist Master which came from India and then settled in Tibet.
